    Paragliding and hang-gliding

    There’s nothing like discovering the magic of aerial sports, just a few steps from the campsite you have the possibility to practice this sport and to adapt your flight according to what you came for. Stunt flyers, adventurers, children… there are several establishments nearby to help you get closer to the birds. The ideal activity for your events! Don’t hesitate to contact the paragliding and hang-gliding schools.

    Hiking trails

    The Plateau des Petites Roches has many hiking trails. From a one-hour walk to a full-day hike, there is something for everyone and every level!

    Chartreuse Regional Nature Park

    This green mid-mountain setting is one of the 58 French regional nature parks. It covers the major part of the Chartreuse massif. Its main towns are Grenoble (on the Isère side) and Chambéry (on the Savoie side).

    Grésivaudan Valley

    Halfway between Grenoble (30 min drive) and Chambéry (45 min drive), this valley offers its visitors a grandiose setting along the Isère. A former glacial valley, it is a rich region combining cultural, historical and natural heritage. Between the plains and the mountains, discover numerous activities: skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking… for all tastes in all seasons!

    You will find all the necessary amenities only a few meters from the campsite: grocery shop at 800m, bakery at 600m and various restaurants, services and shops.

    Cities of Grenoble & Chambéry

    These two main towns in the Chartreuse Massif are home to a rich heritage and various places of interest. In Grenoble (Isère), on the northern side, discover its famous bastille and its 19th century military fort, perched high above the city and offering an exceptional view of the city. To get there quickly, take the cable car, one of the first urban cable cars! Head south of the massif, to Chambéry (Savoie). Among the various attractions, visit the historic heart of the town, which houses the Elephant Fountain, Place St-Léger. As for heritage, stop off at the Castle of the Dukes of Savoy and St-François de Sales Cathedral.

     

    And why not a little stopover on the shores of Lake Aiguebelette?

    Just an hour drive around the Chartreuse Massif by the east, you will have the opportunity to admire these beautiful and well-preserved landscapes. If you are looking for serenity, this is the perfect place! These peaceful waters with their many reflections and small cabins on stilts are surrounded by colourful trees.
